Sue enjoys writing about tap dancing, tap dancers, and the tap dancing community. Below are links to some of her work.

Honi Coles Obit
This appeared in the Oregonian in November of 1992 as a tribute to the great tap dancer and teacher Honi Coles. Honi had a warm connection to Portland having been part of our late 1980’s tap festivals and had many friends and followers here.
Website Noise Funk
In 1998 the road tour of the musical “Bring in ‘da Noise, Bring in ‘da Funk” hit Portland with a bang. I was asked to be part of a panel discussion, as a tap dancer, to  view the show and discuss it afterwards.
The International Tap Association publishes a quarterly magazine called On Tap. Here are three articles Sue has published there:

Spring 2005 - Jefferson Dancers
An overview of the tap dance program at Jefferson High School, an arts magnet school in Portland, OR.
Winter 2005- Tap Day 2005
A review of Portland’s National Tap Dance Day Celebration.
Winter 2006 - Vancouver BC Tap
An overview of  the Vancouver B.C. Canada’s yearly tap dance festival.
